Long Lake Board approves 20-year lease for Raquette Lake highway garage and transfer station

The Town Board of the Town of Long Lake on Dec. 17 authorized Supervisor Clay J. The board found the action to be a Type II action under SEQRA and adopted the resolution 4–0.
The lease as described by the resolution provides an initial 20-year term commencing on issuance of a Notice of Completion and Certificate of Completion by the Town Code Officer, with renewal options. It sets an annual base rent of $57,600 payable in equal monthly installments of $4,800 and allows a discounted annual payment of $57,000 if paid in full by Jan. 31 of each calendar year. The property is identified as a portion of Tax Parcel No. 52.006-127.
"That the Town Board of the Town of Long Lake hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute the Building and Ground Lease Agreement with Raquette Lake Supply Co., Inc., dated December 18, 2025," the resolution states. Councilman Nathan S. Hosley moved the measure; Councilman Thomas L. Donnelly seconded it. The vote was recorded as Supervisor Clay J. Arsenault, Aye; Thomas L. Donnelly, Aye; Nathan S. Hosley, Aye; Richard Dechene, Aye.
The board's packet references that the town does not own suitable real property in the Raquette Lake hamlet and has historically rented space for highway and transfer-station needs. The Town Attorney will complete a final form review of the lease before execution.
