The Central School District 51 Board voted Jan. 16 to release closed-session minutes dated July 2024 through December 2024. The motion to release the minutes was made by Mr. Rampenthal and carried on voice vote with seven ayes.
The board also approved a motion by Mrs. Johnson to destroy selected audio recordings from closed sessions held from January 2023 through June 2023 "as permitted in the Open Meetings Act." That motion carried on voice vote with seven ayes. The minutes record the board's actions but do not list which specific recordings were destroyed; recordkeeping will follow the Open Meetings Act retention and destruction procedures.
