Following executive session, council hires two positions and accepts Michael Shove to fill vacancy

After reconvening in open session, the council unanimously approved hiring the recommended candidate for a Truck Driver position in Public Works and hiring the recommended candidate for the Economic Development Coordinator position.
The council also accepted the Republican Town Committee’s recommended candidate, Michael Shove, to fill the vacancy created by Jerry Dunn’s resignation; the acceptance is effective immediately upon the candidate being sworn in. Motions to hire and to accept the committee candidate were approved unanimously.
