She said the Monroe farmers’ market is closing but will operate this week and noted a $10 per week per vendor fee for that market. Apostolides told the board the Woodbury market will be located off State Route 32 on an existing farm (no vendors yet) and that the Newburgh market will continue year-round; the Florida market is scheduled to open at the end of June.
On outreach and materials, Apostolides said "$400 has been already been allocated for the farmers market rack cards." She said she will design Facebook/META ads, pick up market bags from the Planning Department for distribution, and compile all market information into a single folder to aid market managers. The board discussed vendor recruitment and logistics; no action was taken at the meeting.
