The Springfield Platteview Community Schools Board of Education voted Jan. 12 to approve an architect agreement with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture, Inc. to provide design services for proposed Platteview High School additions, renovations and expansions and for a new PK–6 elementary school. The agreement was approved in a motion that delegates authority to the board president or superintendent to execute the agreement, manage amendments, and authorize payment of architect fees.
The motion, recorded in the minutes, empowers the board president or designee and the superintendent to sign and deliver documents called for in the agreement and to take actions necessary to carry the agreement into effect. Board member Brian Osborn recorded an abstention with conflict on this vote in the minutes where noted for related items; the architect agreement motion itself passed with the recorded votes indicated in the official minutes.
