At the Jan. 12 meeting the Springfield Platteview Community Schools Board approved a motion identifying the Sarpy County Times, the Omaha World-Herald and the Daily Record as newspapers of general circulation for district legal publications and directed an amendment to Policy 2008 to reflect the change; the motion passed 6-0.
Separately, the board designated Horizon Bank, noted in the minutes as formerly Springfield State Bank, as the district's official depository and financial institution for 2026. The designation passed by roll-call vote recorded as unanimous. The actions are administrative steps needed to comply with posting and financial-depository requirements for the district.
