Assessor: sales steady, county assessment changes paused; residents reminded about appeals process

Killeen also said a baby-food manufacturer is moving forward with plans to build in the industrial park.
Killeen told residents to call the assessor's office with questions about assessed value, emphasizing that tax bills themselves cannot be appealed through the assessor. He noted the county stopped making changes to Chemung assessments as of Nov. 10, 2025 and that Board of Review hearings for Chemung concluded in August 2025.
