Keansburg students, teachers invite board to Read Across America event

Jessica Mankowski, a teacher at Crusoe Elementary School and representative of the Keansburg Education Association, invited board members to the annual Read Across America event on Thursday, March 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Crusoe cafeteria and asked board members to volunteer as guest readers.
Student speaker Kaley Kenny, speaking on behalf of Keansburg High School, summarized recent student activities and fundraising efforts, noted a successful conduct-party with 194 students invited and announced five new National Honor Society inductees (Joanna Blozin, Lindsay Butler, Miracle Mathis, Bella Fernandez and Annalicia Rossi). “We are also looking forward to our upcoming gift auction, which will be held on March 13 in the KHS cafeteria,” Kenny said.
The board encouraged participation and noted the event dates for community calendars.
