Engineer reports IEPA permitting progress for Well 7; street projects near completion

Adam Bunge of CES reported that he had received written confirmation from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency that the Well House construction permit should have been issued the week of May 26 and that he has continued follow‑up to obtain IEPA’s official approval letter. He said the village will be required to retest for radium and gross alpha in the final well water quality tests when applying for operating permits. Bunge also noted DPI completed a generator load test, site grading and seeding work, and that permanent wiring to the electrical panel is ready for connection once the well head is installed.
Bunge updated the committee on CV 2024 and CV 2025 street improvement work: punchlist items for the 2024 project are under review and Rock Roads completed milling for 2025 project streets and planned paving subject to weather. He said CES is working on bore route options for the Mill Road watermain replacement and river crossing to determine easement needs.
