The Village of Cherry Valley Recreation Board confirmed plans for its summer Street Dance at the June 25 meeting, approving a $2,700 budget and coordinating giveaways, refreshments and logistics.
Meeting minutes record, "The budget for the Street dance is $2,700.00." Committee members noted that village staff purchased three large-ticket giveaway items—a three‑piece bistro set, a propane fire table and a flat‑top grill—and that Public Works will provide picnic tables and garbage cans at the event. Dina Brandt requested that two bricks for the Armed Forces Memorial be donated by the Cherry Valley Men’s Club, and the board agreed to order 20 pies for a pie‑eating contest.
Board members did not identify additional outside funding sources for the Street Dance in the record. The board did not take a separate formal vote beyond the meeting's routine voice approvals recorded in the minutes. The Recreation Board’s next scheduled meeting is July 30, 2025.
