Board approves special-event permits, accepts Recreation Board resignation and OKs fall festival caricature contract

President David Schroeder presented three special-event permit requests for Kegel’s Harley‑Davidson (July 9, July 17 and July 26, 2025) representing not‑for‑profit events. Trustee Scott Kramer moved to approve the special-event permits and Trustee Brandi Pearse seconded; roll call was recorded as five AYES and one ABSENT and the motion carried.
The board also accepted the resignation of Tori Nassir from the Recreation Board, effective June 10, 2025, on a roll-call vote (5 AYE, 1 ABSENT). Trustees approved a contract with About Faces Entertainment for a caricature artist at a cost of $770 from line item 5260 Public Works for the village’s Annual Fall Festival on Oct. 4, 2025, pending review by the village attorney. Trustee Pearse moved approval of the contract and Trustee Kramer seconded; roll call again recorded five AYES and one ABSENT.
