Board approves CKLA ELA, facilities and tech upgrades; places tax question on ballot

The board voted 6–0 to adopt the CKLA ELA curriculum; to approve an updated BOE calendar that adds two town halls; to authorize wireless access points; to award a parking‑lot contract for LBES; and to approve an audit engagement agreement and the personnel report.
On a separate motion, the board voted 5–1 to approve a resolution to place Retailers' Occupation and Service Occupation taxes on the ballot, with Richard Driver recorded as the lone dissenting vote. The meeting minutes show a final adjournment at 8:10 PM.
