Public works report: four drywells installed, beach stairs removed month‑end and paddlecraft must be removed by Oct. 15

Street Superintendent Rick Reitz told the council that two additional drywells were installed on Long Lake Shore Drive, bringing this year's budgeted total to four. "This will make a total of 4 new drywells that were budgeted this year," the minutes record.
Reitz said crews cleared branches near Hillside and Mohawks and that he and Josh are installing cable wiring from the street garage to the police side to extend Wi‑Fi to the basketball area and pavilion. Brian Cassidy announced that beach stairs at Stops 38, 39 and 42 will be removed at month end; all kayaks and paddle boards must be removed from the beach by Oct. 15 and garbage cans will be removed from beach stops at month end.
Leaf pick‑up was scheduled to begin at the end of the month. No formal vote or budget amendment was recorded for these operational items in the minutes.
