County to post Buildings & Grounds worker job and authorizes two employees for boiler training

Following a retirement, the board approved posting internally and externally for a Buildings & Grounds Worker and authorized Joey Vought and Matt Janssen to take boiler training, testing, and be placed on building inspection rotation.
County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong asked the board to allow Human Resources to advertise for a part-time or full-time Buildings & Grounds Worker after the retirement of Craig Borsgard. The board voted unanimously to post internally and advertise for the position (motion by Larry Anderson, second by Tom Appel).
Thongvivong also reported that five employees expressed interest in boiler training for building checks; the Building Committee reviewed the list and selected Joey Vought and Matt Janssen. The board authorized the two employees to take training, pass a boiler test, and be added to the rotation for boiler inspections of county buildings (motion by Donna Gravley, second by Wayne Maras).
