Clerk Rhonda Bezely informed the Board that the annual 10/33 ambulance bill for 2026 remains the same as 2025: $36 x 1,263 = $45,468.00, which equals $3,789.00 per month. A resident asked whether the village had considered sand or brine to reduce road salt use; Bezely said brine requires different application equipment and she will discuss the possibility with President Cattani and Public Works.
Bezely reported receiving six Christmas cards from vendors and a resident's note. She asked the board whether to discontinue sending birthday cards in 2026 to save money; trustees agreed they could forgo them. Trustee Molly Thrasher noted speed radar signs were installed on Main Avenue near the crosswalk, and the Board commented favorably on leaving Main Avenue trees illuminated year-round. Bezely will post ambulance-request reminders on the village Facebook page, and Trustee Nicholson will share the post to the Ladd, IL page monthly.
