Administrative Assistant Samantha Sarosinski briefed the board on preliminary discussions about the Village potentially taking over operations of Ladd Cemetery and on conversations with Paul Biccochi, who currently manages burials. Sarosinski said Biccochi typically spends "5'10 hours per burial, with 6'12 burials per year," and recommended digitizing cemetery records and integrating grave locations into the Village website. The board asked for additional information and agreed to invite Biccochi to the next meeting for further details.
Sarosinski noted the Village's Perpetual Fund could be used if the Village assumed responsibility and that the Village could invest that fund in line with other Village investments. Trustees raised questions about available plots, annual plot sales, and operating details; no formal action was taken at the Dec. 9 meeting beyond scheduling further discussion.
