Commissioner Martin presented Resolution 032425020 declaring certain Board of Education technology (laptops) surplus and asking the commission to authorize sale or destruction. He then presented Resolution 032425021 to declare additional IT equipment surplus and direct the mayor and sheriff to execute bills of sale or destruction documents under Tennessee Code Annotated.
Both resolutions were moved and seconded. The chair asked for the vote; the clerk recorded the tally and the chair declared each resolution passed. Commissioner Martin said the items were no longer necessary to the school technology program and the actions will allow the county to dispose of or sell the equipment per state law.
