Town Manager reports progress on salt shed, paving, ambulance and recreation inquiry

Town Manager Chris Taylor told the Selectboard that steel walls are being erected for the salt shed and the project is expected to be completed by Aug. 31. He reported paving work continues on Sanderson Road, Main Street and Westford Road; gravel paving for the Hourglass Project is starting and new traffic signals and road sections are expected to come online the week of Aug. 10.
Taylor also said the Vermont Soccer Association has approached the town regarding a potential premier soccer complex, and that the new ambulance body is on the chassis and expected to be road-ready by Sept. 1. Selectboard member Betsy Paret reported the Conservation Commission's "Bio Blitz" identified 548 species during a recent event.
