Council limits pickleball tournament to Sept. 5–7; residents complain about player conduct

The council considered a request from Lisa Zirpolo to reserve the pickleball courts for a four-day tournament beginning Sept. 4. Council members decided four days was too long and limited approval to Friday, Sept. 5 (with setup at 4 p.m.), Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7. The council required a list of any village resources needed (tables, chairs, cords) be submitted to the office at least one week before the event.
During public comment, Pam Schutt complained that some pickleball players had been relieving themselves by the creek. Nancy Thill, participating by Zoom, said that "quiet pickleballs" do work, raising equipment/noise considerations. Tim McCarthy appointed Mike Mumper to be the Park liaison following the discussion.
