Sally McDonald thanked the council for approving a rain date and said tournament proceeds and a community fundraiser produced a $4,258 check for the Village: $4,000 from the tournament and $258 from a Zorn’s Brewery give-back day. She said the organizers donated equipment (cranks and a squeegee) and proposed operational improvements for the courts including opening bathrooms over Thanksgiving, installing hand dryers (donated by the group) and implementing keypad access for bathrooms.
The Council thanked the organizers and did not take formal action on the proposed operational changes at the meeting; correspondence on bathroom access from Kim Habel was also noted and will be available for future discussion.
