Michiana council authorizes John Deere tractor purchase using CD and water bond funds

The council approved the John Deere purchase (motion by Mike Mumper; seconded by Mike Botelho) and passed a separate motion to cash the vehicle CD when it matures; the minutes record the roll call vote on the CD as "4 ayes – 0 nays." The tractor purchase will include a backhoe attachment to allow in‑house digging of water lines rather than outsourcing.
