Tim McCarthy described the purpose of a master plan: "A master plan addresses the land use, infrastructure and public service priorities of the community with a five year or longer timeframe and is continuously updated to reflect our changing needs." Julie Bonello laid out a six‑phase workplan and an estimated 15‑month timeline that includes inventory, community engagement, goals and an implementation strategy. The Planning Commission will incorporate the Master Plan work and related questions — including modernization of the police station — into upcoming resident surveys planned to begin in January.
