County hears presentation on near-site clinic that county says saves about $150,000 a year

Todd Garlington, a representative of Medical Analysis, told the Robertson County Commission that the company operates near-site primary and occupational medicine clinics serving Robertson County, the county school system and the city of Springfield. "My name is Todd Garlington. I'm with a company called Medical Analysis," he said, and described a model that does not bill insurance and charges a per-employee monthly fee to participating employers' plans.
Garlington provided usage figures and a claimed county savings: "we're netting about $150,000 a year savings after the cost of the clinic for, the county alone," he said. He described roughly 16,000 primary-care visits, over 1,000 occupational visits and more than 7,000 lab procedures at the clinic, and noted on-site medication availability as an additional cost offset. Commissioners asked few follow-ups in the presentation; the chair thanked Garlington and moved on to other agenda items.
