Council: proposed tax revenue would support Weber County sheriff contract and pooled increase of 10 officers

When a councilmember asked for clarification, Tom listed the participating jurisdictions, naming Washington Terrace, West Haven, Farr West (listed in the record as "Far West"), Plain City, unincorporated Weber County, Hubbard, Ogden Valley City and Uinta. Council members emphasized that the city participates in a pooled contractual arrangement and that other options, such as creating a standalone police force, were discussed and estimated to be far more costly.
