Lanark schedules bid opening for streets work; council hires new bond counsel and reviews personnel reports
Summary

The council heard several standing-committee and departmental reports on June 16. Streets/Properties committee announced a bid opening for current projects on June 30 with council approval planned July 7; O’Brien's work is progressing but one worker had a major non-work injury and rain delays have affected schedules. A CIP proposal from Graham will be reviewed at a joint Streets and Property/Water & Sewer committee meeting on June 30 at 5:30 p.m.
In reports, Alderperson Justin Rausch discussed garbage-contract bids, noting multiple offers including one with a one-year term; Chief Troy Randall reported that Officer Zach suffered a fractured ankle and two broken foot bones while on duty and will be out a minimum of ten weeks. The council voted to engage Sosnowski Zado LLP to represent the city in the Reed Law surety-bond matter; the motion carried by five aye votes.
