Elkton — The Town Council on Oct. 21 accepted the winning bid for Phase 1 of the Elkton Water Line Project. The minutes indicate the work will include roughly 5,000 feet of water line installation.
Vice‑Mayor Rick Workman moved to accept the bid; Council Member Louis Heidel seconded the motion, which carried on a 6-0 roll call. Council noted the project scope and financing authorizations previously adopted during the meeting.
The acceptance moves the project from planning into procurement and contracting. Staff will complete contract execution and provide the council with schedule and construction details in follow‑up reports.
