The Millville Planning Commission convened July 16, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at City Hall. Commissioner Garrett Greenhalgh opened the meeting and the commission unanimously approved the evening’s agenda and the minutes from its June 4 meeting.
During routine business the commission approved a sign permit for South Valley Rentals at 920 W 2675 S and granted a zoning clearance for a new residence for Welshow Holdings, LLC at 385 S 550 East. Both motions were moved and seconded by commissioners and each passed with four votes in favor and none opposed. The commission also considered an accessory building at 120 N 300 E that had been constructed in November 2025 and voted to deny the zoning clearance because it did not comply with the city’s current code; commissioners recommended the owner discuss the matter with the City Council.
The agenda listed a first draft of a retaining wall code, but the transcript contains no substantive discussion of draft language. The commission set its next meeting for Aug. 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. and adjourned at approximately 8:47 p.m.
