The planning commission had recommended unanimous approval on June 10, 2026. No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing.
A commissioner moved to approve the rezoning, a second followed, and the board voted verbally in favor. Staff noted that if approved, the applicant would be eligible to apply for building and site-work permits consistent with R1A zoning.
Next steps: county staff will process requisite permits for redevelopment under the new zoning if the applicant proceeds.
