Minoa approves WTP training, DPW summer hours and part-time hire

Trustee J. Robert (Bobby) Schepp moved (seconded by Trustee Abbott) to approve training requests for Water Treatment Plant employees, Mayor Brazill, and Trustees Champagne and Christensen to attend an 'Emerging Contaminants' program at the New York Rural Water Association (NYRWA) on March 24, 2026, at the Minoa Municipal Building. The motion carried unanimously.
The board also approved summer hours for the Department of Public Works beginning the week of April 6 through September 6, 2026. Separately, the board approved hiring Joshua Enslin as a part-time trash thrower effective March 17, 2026, at an hourly rate of $16.50; that motion carried as well.
These personnel and operational moves are administrative measures intended to maintain service continuity (DPW staffing/hours) and to provide staff training on emerging contaminants relevant to water treatment operations.
