Centertown advances Minimum Housing Standards bill to second reading after amendment

Trustees agreed to amend the text to require yards under one acre to be covered with 'adequate lawn (not to exceed six (6) inches in height, ground cover or vegetation).'
Trustee Paula Hinshaw moved to amend Bill No. 0025-007 to include that change and set a second reading for the Nov. 13 Special Meeting; Trustee Heather Hunger seconded. The clerk polled members and recorded the vote as Yea — 3 (Baker, Hunger, Hinshaw). The amendment advances the ordinance to a formal second reading; no final adoption occurred at the Oct. 28 meeting.
