Public Works Director Mark Neary presented multiple items July 15, including authorization for Chief Executive Gallagher to sign an Approval for Construction letter with the Federal Highway Administration required to move forward with bidding for the Roosevelt Drive Safety and Realignment Project. The council concurred and placed the communication on file, enabling the project to proceed toward solicitation of bids.
The council also referred a petition to close and vacate portions of a public right-of-way to the Public Works Committee for review and approved an agreement request to have Chief Executive Gallagher sign an agreement with Northwestern Energy for a 50-foot electric service extension. Festival and event permits (including a request to reserve the Original Mine Yard for An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival, Aug. 14–16, with setup/tear-down Aug. 10–17) were placed on file as part of the consent agenda.
