Planning & Zoning Technician Alex Schultz presented three AIS grant applications and explained the funding requests were for weed harvester use in the applicant cities. The board approved an AIS grant to the City of Mountain Lake for $20,000 in 2025 and $20,000 in 2026, and an AIS grant to the City of Bingham Lake for $15,000 in 2026. The motions passed unanimously (motion by Commissioner Wayne Maras, second by Commissioner Tom Appel).
The grants are recorded in the meeting minutes with the purpose described as support for municipal weed harvester operations. The County Auditor/Coordinator files will include the grant paperwork; the minutes do not record conditions attached to the grants beyond approval and the stated funding amounts.
