HHS Dance Team recognized after 13th-place finish at IHSA state competition

The Harlem Consolidated School District #122 Board of Education on March 9 recognized the HHS Dance Team for finishing 13th at the IHSA State Dance Competition, the team’s highest placement to date.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jason Blume introduced the recognition and Coach Summer Henderson described the performance and how close the team came to advancing: "To enter into day two of competition the team needed to finish 12th, missed going to day two of the competition by .65." Assistant Coach Chelsea Pruitt congratulated the dancers and noted the team "has the highest GPA for the winter season." Board members joined staff in thanking coaches and students for their work and school leaders present were acknowledged for logistical support.
