Cortney McCauliffe presented the first draft of the Minerva Central School District 2026–2027 budget during the Feb. 12 budget meeting, and fielded questions from board members. She identified staffing needs for next school year — including a night cleaner and a world language teacher, with the possibility of sharing language services — and cited the need for an elementary teacher position.
Superintendent Candice Husson supplemented the budget discussion with capital outlay and program updates. Husson said approved replacement basketball hoops are scheduled to be replaced by June, and noted ongoing work on State Performance results for special education indicator #8, upcoming parent/teacher conferences, student activities including Irish Pride week, and plans for MTSS and special education summer training.
