A county maintenance supervisor reported July was busy and that roughly 90% of recent service calls involved HVAC issues, including two compressors lost at the juvenile detention center. "Month of July was pretty busy. And 90% of those were HVAC issues," the supervisor said, describing manual resets and compressor swaps to keep systems running.
The supervisor also described two indoor leaks traced to a floor drain and a roof drain at the Hall of Justice and an ongoing roof problem at the Townsend building; staff said they used infrared drone imagery to help identify membrane trouble. The supervisor reviewed planned library projects — parking-lot crack sealing, atrium lighting upgrades, a shop heater replacement and an improved roof-access ladder — and confirmed the items are budgeted.
