Lindop board approves hires, interim principal, raises and terminations after closed session

Following executive session on Sept. 16 the Lindop School District 92 board returned to open session and approved multiple personnel items. The board voted to hire Kimberly Spires as a middle school science teacher at a salary of $51,054.50, pro-rated to $45,679.00 for the 2025–26 school year; it installed Dr. Stephane Roberson as Interim Principal and approved increasing her salary to $98,580.00 (the motion was later amended to state an increase from $92,665.20 to $98,580.00). The motions carried with Yes votes from the five members present.
Other personnel actions recorded in the minutes included tabling a 3.5% retroactive increase for a list of employees, approving participation in medical, dental and vision insurance for permanent substitute teachers who work an average of 30 hours, approving a $700 tuition reimbursement for teacher Adrienne Boswell, accepting the resignation of Mrs. Obasi and approving the termination of Ms. Tiffany Harrell and Mrs. Tonya Taylor (the latter passed with one abstention by Ms. Griffin). The board handled these actions by individual motions with recorded roll call votes in the minutes.
