Village engineer reports sewer televising, Safe Routes application and Route 20 closure planned for 2026

Village Engineer Brian Nott updated trustees on multiple public-works items. He said televising and cleaning of sanitary and storm sewers is under review and that crews found one service line that had been bored through. Nott said the Safe Routes to School application will be sent the next day and that only dirt work is planned this fall for IL Routes 73 and 20, but that in 2026 a 120‑day closure of Route 20 is scheduled.
Nott also reported that Fischer’s will readdress site restoration at the Main Street/Townline and Milfred Street intersection, that Helm will perform curb and patch work, and that Lena Drive Inn and Camp Street projects are complete. He said he will provide the Village contact information for ongoing state route updates.
