Hammond, introduced by the mayor, said the parcel includes about 0.875 acre in the city and that the access would be developed under town requirements. Council members responded that the road would need proper culverts and a turnabout, that the county and planning and zoning would need to review permits, and that the town’s snowplow and garbage-truck turning requirements should be met before a certificate of occupancy is issued. Mayor Thompson said the planning commission will hear the item next Thursday and advised Hammond to submit plans and requested a written letter outlining the town’s expectations.
