The McPherson County Planning Commission on July 30, 2026 heard an overview of the county's Zoning Regulations Update from Edward Dunn of the West Central Nebraska Development District, which is acting as consultant to the county on the project. Each commissioner received a copy of Draft 7 of the Zoning Regulations for review.
"WCNDD is acting as Consultant to McPherson County on this project," the minutes record, describing the consultant relationship and an overview presentation. The draft distributed to commissioners (Draft 7) will guide the commission's review in coming meetings and was the primary document discussed during the presentation. The commission set a follow-up meeting for Aug. 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. to continue review and discussion of the regulations update.
Kathy Hoberg, the county's Zoning Administrator, was listed as present for the meeting; Chairman Mike Krull called the session to order at 7:00 p.m. The presentation by the consultant marks a step in the multi-meeting process to revise county zoning rules and update the regulatory framework covering land use in McPherson County.
