Highway superintendent reports equipment issues, board accepts 284 agreement

The Moira Town Board voted to accept the Superintendent of Highways' 2025 284 Agreement after a motion from Councilman Justin Robinson, seconded by Councilman Frank Snyder; the motion carried 4-0.
Highway Superintendent Mike Helm reported that a 2016 Ford requires an oil pan replacement that will necessitate lifting the motor and may increase labor costs; he said he will solicit estimates. Helm also reported interest from a potential buyer in the town's unused slide-in sander. Supervisor Niles asked Helm to verify the sander's working condition so it can be declared surplus and placed on the agenda for sale by public bid at a future meeting.
