Laura Ostlie-Bollig and Nathan Fiest, representing engineering staff, answered council questions about project priorities and recommended moving forward with the task order.
The motion to sign Task Order #7 and adopt Resolution 26-01 was made by Councilor Steve Studniski and seconded by Sabrina Weber. The roll call vote was: Gvesrude-No; Weber-Yes; House-No; Studniski-Yes; Bloom-Yes. The motion carried 3–2. Councilors raised concerns that the project was not necessarily the city’s highest priority but voted to advance the certification process so the project could be eligible for PFA assistance.
