Laraway board approves consent agenda, signs off on hires and retirements

At the Jan. 22, 2025 meeting the Laraway C.C.S.D. #70-C Board approved the consent agenda on a 5-0 roll call vote. Mr. Washington moved, seconded by Mr. Hopkins, to approve the consent agenda which included bills payable; imprest payable; new construction payable; payroll; the treasurer's report; and personnel items. The minutes record that Brass, Fleet, Hopkins, Knight and Washington voted aye with no nays.
Personnel items on the consent agenda included new hires for the Girls on the Run program — Ms. Sarah Harris, Ms. Colleen Hassell and Ms. Nicolette Uresti — and the appointment of Mrs. Amy Grigoletti as junior high language arts teacher. The consent agenda also recorded notices of intent to retire from Mrs. Debbie McClafferty and Mrs. Valerie Teegardin and administrative housekeeping including the destruction of the Dec. 17, 2024 audio session tape. The motion was passed without recorded dissent.
