Board approves preliminary 2025 tax levy estimates ahead of December certification

The Lockport SD 91 board voted unanimously Nov. 11 to approve estimated levy amounts for 2025, setting the district up to certify the tax levy in December; the motion was made by Arvidson and seconded by Pinn.
At its Nov. 11 meeting the Lockport School District 91 Board approved the estimated amounts necessary to be levied for 2025 during a roll call vote.
Board member Arvidson moved to approve the levy estimates and Pinn seconded. A roll call recorded ayes from Cutforth, Oxley-Turner, Rodriguez, Fracaro, Arvidson and Pinn; there were no nays or abstentions. The approval advances the district’s levy process ahead of the Truth in Taxation schedule and the formal tax levy certification planned for the December board meeting.
The motion was procedural and does not by itself change final levy rates; administration was directed to prepare levy certification documents for board action in December.
