Board accepts resignation, approves coach termination and replacement

The board accepted the resignation of Mrs. Maria Argueta, Executive Assistant to the Special Education Coordinator, effective Dec. 5, 2025 in a motion by Mr. Buchanan and seconded by Mr. Dawson. The vote recorded Mr. Hannah voting no on the acceptance of the resignation; others voted yes.
Separately, the board voted to table termination of "Employee A." Later in the meeting the board approved termination of Ms. Washington as cheerleading coach effective Oct. 24, 2025 and then approved hiring Stormy Ervin-Bolden as cheerleading coach effective Oct. 27, 2025. Those personnel motions carried with the majority of members present.
