President Patterson presided as Chief School Business Official Gutierrez presented the proposed 2025 tax levy and timetable, saying the levy would be approved Nov. 18, finalized Dec. 16 and filed by Dec. 30, 2025. Gutierrez told the board the expiration of the Broadview Roosevelt Road TIF created approximately $4,000,000 in "new property" that the district can capture with a one-time levy increase of 4.99%.
After a formal motion by Mr. Dawson and second by Ms. Griffin, the board voted unanimously to adopt the 4.99% levy. The board record shows no discussion opposing the increase. The filing deadline remains Dec. 30, 2025. The levy change is presented as a one-time adjustment tied to the TIF expiration rather than a recurring policy change.
