Mayor Hardy asked the Committee to review his recommendation to reappoint Jay Klausner to the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners and to appoint Carl Vandermolen as chairperson of that board. The mayor said both items will be placed on the Feb. 3, 2026 Village Board agenda for consideration.
Carl Vandermolen was present at the Committee meeting and introduced himself to the members, according to the meeting record. No formal committee vote on the appointments occurred; the recommendations were referred to the Village Board for final action.
