County Manager Brian said staff opened the application portal and recommended appointing six applicants to the third Citizens Academy cohort; the board approved the appointments and granted flexibility to issue residency waivers if needed. "These are the 6 applications we have on file as of today, and we would ask that you appoint these 6," Brian said.
Separately the manager presented Budget Amendment No. 3 (FY 26–27) to move $68,000 from capital reserve to purchase a Kubota lawnmower under state contract and to fund parking lot improvements tied to previously awarded field lighting grants. "The total request is $68,000," the manager said. The board approved the budget amendment 4–0.
