At the organizational portion of the Dec. 30 meeting, the board adopted Resolution #68 to set meeting schedules and administrative defaults for 2026, then approved Resolution #69 to confirm a slate of town appointments.
Resolution #68 (moved by Councilperson Brian Stamp and seconded by Councilperson Donna Taber) establishes the time and day of Town Board meetings as the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., Planning Board meetings as the third Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., designates Watkins Review & Express as the official newspaper and Chemung Canal Trust Company as the official depository, and sets a mileage rate as recorded in the minutes. The resolution also authorizes town officials to attend meetings and trainings with town payment of fees.
Under Resolution #69 the board approved appointments including Deputy Supervisor Donna Taber (3-year term); Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector Staci Coston; Court Clerk Catrina Decker; Building Inspector III Dean Hillyard; Bookkeeper-to-Supervisor Becki Wheeler; Historian Eleanor Lattin; and other board and committee assignments as read. Both organizational resolutions were adopted unanimously.
The minutes record the appointments list in full and set the next regular meeting for Jan. 13, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
