The Village Board approved three contractor pay applications on Sept. 8, voting unanimously to release payments tied to ongoing street projects.
On a motion by Trustee Brian Peight and second by Trustee Brandon Smith, the Board approved Pay Application #5 and final for Phase 6 in the amount of $185,212.23. The Board then approved Pay Application #9 and final for Phase 5, $80,971.91, after Village Engineer Brian Nott said he would compile a cost breakdown for reimbursement from cost-sharing parties. The Board also approved Pay Application #1 for Milfred Street Improvements to Fischer's Excavating for $156,308.91; Nott estimated about a week and a half of remaining on-site work before substantial completion, not including final site restoration.
All three motions were recorded as "ALL AYE," with nine board members present. The approvals follow multiple status updates from the Village Engineer, who reported Main Street/Townline is complete pending site restoration and other local street projects are in various stages of completion.
