Rankin board to draft policy replacing expiring staff tuition waiver

Because state law now allows districts to adopt local policy in place of renewing the waiver, Dr. Gordon said he will bring a draft policy that mirrors the waiver language for a first reading at the Oct. 27 board meeting.
The board discussed possible changes but agreed the replacement policy should mirror the waiver. The minutes do not include draft policy text; the board will consider the first reading at the October regular meeting.
